"Ten Story Love"

The Perfect Girl

        Rembrandt, Rafael and Michelangelo

           Would follow her around with canvases in tow;

              She's a gallery, a walking Versailles,

What brush and palette could ever paint those eyes?

                      She's the Perfect Girl,

                      She's the Perfect Girl,

                      She's the Perfect Girl,

                      But she's not mine.

She's as brown as Picasso's women at the spring,

Pinker than Fragonard's girl on the swing,

She's more pastel than all the lilies by Monet,

She's redder than a night in Van Gogh's Night Café,

                      She's the Perfect Girl,

                      She's the Perfect Girl,

                      She's the Perfect Girl,

                      But she's not mine.

        I feel like a refugee

        From Dali's "Persistence Of Memory".

I feel it's all to surreal for me...

I've never seen a work of art quite like this,

It's like I'm lost in Pollock's "Lavender Mist".

Each view brings me a little closer than before,

But then she shows me to the "Goodbye Door".

                      She's the Perfect Girl,

                      She's the Perfect Girl,

                      She's the Perfect Girl,

                      But she's not mine.
